Three ways to tell
the Soular story.
Same band, same strengths, three different personalities. Each direction below is a real look and feel for the new homepage — not the finished site, just enough to get a true feel for it before we build anything.
What you're actually looking at
No design jargon needed — here's the plain-language version of what each mockup below shows you.
It's a homepage preview
A mockup of the top of the new homepage — the first thing a couple would see. Not the whole site, just the "first impression."
Colours and fonts are real
The background colour, accent colour, and the two typefaces shown are exactly what would carry through the entire site.
Photo blocks are placeholders
Boxes marked as photos will hold real photos and videos of Soular once we're building the actual site — for now they just show where they'd sit.
Soul Club
Moody, warm, and unmistakably tied to soul and Motown. This is the direction the rest of this proposal itself is built in.
Live music that fills
the room and the dance floor.
Full band, DJ, and production — one call books it all.

Feels like the band sounds
Deep, warm colours and a subtle "equalizer" motif echo the soul and R&B sound Soular is known for — the site feels like the music before a single note plays.
Stands out from other bands
Most wedding-vendor sites lean bright and generic. This direction is instantly recognizable and hard to confuse with a competitor's site.
Built for photos and video
The dark backdrop makes performance photos and stage lighting pop, instead of washing them out the way a plain white page would.
Golden Hour
Warm, light, and romantic — closer to a wedding editorial spread than a nightclub poster. Leads with the couple's day, not the stage.
The soundtrack to your
golden hour, and the whole night.
Full band, DJ, and production — one call books it all.

Speaks to the couple, not just the band
Softer colours and romantic framing put the wedding day itself front and centre — this feels like a vendor who understands the day is about the couple.
Easier to read in daylight
Most couples browse vendor sites during the day, often on a phone. A lighter background is simply easier on the eyes in that setting.
Fits alongside other wedding vendors
Closer in feel to photographer and venue sites couples are already looking at — it slots naturally into their planning research.
Studio Live
Bold, high-contrast, and photography-led — like a concert poster or magazine feature. The most modern and editorial of the three.
The Band Behind
Toronto's Best Nights
Full band, DJ, and production — one call books it all.

The most modern of the three
Sharp edges, strong typography, and a near-black-and-white palette read as current and confident — closer to a music brand than a typical wedding vendor.
Makes photography the star
With almost no colour competing for attention, real performance and event photography carries the entire page.
A bit more of a departure
The boldest option — it makes the strongest statement, but is the furthest from what a typical couple expects a "wedding band" site to look like.
The pages the new site will have
The look changes between the three directions above — the structure underneath doesn't. Here's every page we've agreed on, and which problem from Part 1 each one solves.

Fixes: broken booking formLet's pick a direction
None of these three have to be final as shown — colours, photos and wording can all be refined. The goal today is simply to find the personality that feels most like Soular.
